Been a long time, my friends. Too long.
I remember photographing Prides before tonight, partially because I remember a discussion I had with a few friends at Inverness Gigs about the band name. As it transpires, lead singer Stewart Brock has also been in Midnight Lion and Kitty and the Lion - I suppose the collective noun is the logical next band name, although I'm not entirely sure where he can go from here if Prides disband.
Anyways, I remember that conversation, and I remember their synth-pop being rather catchy. What I can't remember is who the bloody hell they were supporting at the time, which I think should give you an idea of how good they are.
Tonight though, they were the main event, propped up by performances from another fairly-irregularly-photographed-by-me singer-songwriter Alice Bentley, and a never-photographed-by-me band stuck somewhere in the mid-eighties called Flyte. I must say the Londoners were very impressive - do go and check them out.

Cheers as ever to the bands, Inverness Gigs and the Ironworks!
